I've been prescribed 30mg of duloxetine for depression and anxiety. Bit scared after reading all the negative reviews online. I'm on my 2nd day and feeling really tired and low. Just wondering if anyone has any positive experiences with it and if it helped your depression?

Thank you in advance.

I've only been on it for a couple of weeks but I have found it has taken the edge off my depression. 30mg is a very low dose - I was only on that a few days before moving up to 60mg which I believe is about the minimum for it to have an effect. It took about 10 days to kick in; it's not a miracle cure by any means but definitely an improvement.

@mynameiscalypso thank you. Have you had any side effects? x

Not really; a bit of a mild hangover feeling sometimes and not much appetite but who knows if that's the meds or just everything that's going on in the world!

I’m on 90mg.
It’s keeping me alive. Unfortunately, it puts my pulse and blood pressure up so I am now on propranolol slow release and a blood pressure medication.
It made me lose a lot of weight initially. I believe it is very difficult to come off. If I miss a day I feel dreadful, very jittery.

I'm on 120mg and it's amazing! It works very quickly, unlike SSRI's but as a PP mentioned, if you miss a dose then you really do feel strange and frankly, awful.
It has however, changed my life! I wouldn't be alive still if it weren't for Duloxetine

Was horrible for me, terrible side effects like brain zaps, nightmare coming off it too.
