Hello, I am wondering if anyone knows of courses which people with mental health can attend. My brother has schizophrenia, he is stable now, however it would be nice to get him out of the house doing something, so I am trying to find some courses which are aimed at those with mental health issues, so that atleast they have an awareness of how to deal with him. He is 20 years old, anything will do, however he loves cooking. Thank you in advance.

The adult education colleges where I live are used to teaching students with all sorts of access needs including MH problems.

Personally I prefer these than going somewhere aimed at people with MH issues. If you know what needs your brother has you could support him in making those clear when he enrols to figure out whether some courses or tutors are better suited than others.

Another option is Recovery College which is a sort of cross between a course and psychoeducation, you could see if your area has a Recovery College?
