Just wondering if anyone has experience of PDA, either themselves or with a family member.

DS is going through a process of referrals for possible autism and when doing research I came across this. I actually think it describes my DH and would explain a lot. He has suffered from anxiety and depression for as long as I have known him but since we had children things have become more difficult. Having read about PDA I now feel that this does actually fit for him and would explain a lot.

Has anyone pursued a diagnosis as an adult? Would there be any benefit for us doing this? Is there anything that I can do to better support DH and DS?

Thanks.

I found some information here on PDA from the National Autistic Society. If you read all the way through, there are various organisations and resources listed near the end of the page. You could also contact the NAS for more information and advice.
