Child with anxiety about Death 🙃

Hi I was wondering if any of you mummy's have kids with death anxiety, my son told me today he's scared of dying and his family dying, his granny passed a year ago suddenly and I think this may have brought this on, I am so worried I have spoke to his school and they are going to keep an eye on him, and I am trying my best to reassure him, is this a normal fear for a child to have?

In my experience it's normal after losing a loved one. How old is he?
