Does anyone have any positive experience of being on a low dose for depression?

Yes. I've been on a low dose of this drug for depression for years. It works very well for me without any side effects, and it enables me to function completely normally. It's not prescribed very often these days, I don't think.

Thanks, that’s good to know

No it's not prescribed much as it has a terrible reputation, I was on it for 26 years and wish I had never taken it

Hi, can I ask why you wish that LHMBF? Was it because of the side effects or because it was difficult to stop taking?

I started a different thread but had no response- I took Seroxat for around a year in my early 20s. I had terrible nightmares and it made me suicidal but my psychiatrist has just prescribed me a low dose.

I am torn because I want to get well but am worried about going back to it. I am currently on fluoxetine and it makes me live a fuzzy headed half life.

Was it helpful, Anubis?

It was because it was very difficult to stop taking, withdrawal was awful and always ended up having to take it again after a few days
