Does anyone else feel they've had poor care at the GP? When I've spoken to the GPS at our surgery they've been kind in the main but I've only just had a face to face appointment today and that was with a locum. I was diagnosed with a severe case of GAD at the start of November and 'probably' OCD. All my appointments have been only when I've had side effects and changed meds and they've been on the phone. I've never been offered a review. The only reason I saw the locum today was a mix up over my prescription last week with the receptionist. I started on Sertraline 50mg and was told to increase my own dose to 100 when ready, which I did, I then got diarrhoea and was told to stop, then I got withdrawal symptoms, was then put on Escitalopram 5mg which I increased myself to 10 and was then told I shouldn't have. I have never spoken to the same person twice, it's been 4 different people. I've been put on the waiting list for the mental health team but the meds are working well and I feel better anyway with self help so they'll probably tell me they can't help me. The occ health at work didn't offer me any therapy cos they said I was too bad for the few sessions they offer to work! I feel quite abandoned really.
