Does anyone experience prickly sensations on their chest and down their arms with anxiety? I hope I'm not alone with this.

Yes. But all over. Also electric zap feelings. Can you do some deep breathing?

Is it both arms?

@KingaRoo thanks for your reply. Yes, it's both arms. I guess it could be described as an electric zap feeling. Really unsettling Sad

It's very normal with anxiety - it's a common symptom, not indicative of anything sinister

Yes I get this and a lot of my anxiety is health based so I send myself through the roof. Do not google!!

Wow, I’ve had this for years if it’s like this feeling. Bear with me it’s quite hard to explain

I can be quite literally sat there, then out of the blue I get like a very intense like ping (electric shock like) mainly on legs and can be arms/chest.
I can’t ig, it’s a severe feeling instantly, I have to hold it then I have to scratch it. It can happen a few times one after the other or now and again.
I hate it as I just can not stop scratching it, and the pinging is horrible.

I have never put it down to anxiety (I do suffer with) because sometimes I feel fine especially in the evening. It will just come on out of the blue.

I’m going to really note if it’s when I’m anxious or feel anxiety is higher

I’ve had it today, on the way back from out shopping with dp, it came on in the car ping and I was scratching getting irritable with it.
I had to take legging off when I got in, and put loose pj bottoms on

Wow also have these!

I went to GP with it once when it got bad in a leg and then over my whole body. It’s like my neural system was acting up. Electric shocks,
Tingles.
Even eyes feeling funny.

Doctors found nothing sinister luckily, as of course my anxiety then went through the roof!

I get it now but not as much. Looking back I’ve been under a lot of stress.

It is our neural system isn’t it? It can get work through diabetes etc but that is a different thing - when I looked it up it didn’t fit. I wonder why our system is triggered like this?
