Venaflaxine for depression and anxiety how many weeks did it take to kick in

Hi I've been on venaflaxine 75mg for a week 150mg for another week then 225 mg now been 10 days when did you notice a big improvement maybe life's my mood slightly but done. Nothing for my anxiety xx

Did you have bad SE?

It’s very early days, it takes at least 6-10 weeks for antidepressants to alter your brain receptors.
It’s not just the antidepressants alone that will help. You need to learn coping strategies for the anxiety and trying to be less negative
And be more kind to yourself

Yep they moved it up psychiatrist wanted to get it right in my system don't really have any side effects and I'm still taking trazodone and diazepam xx

It can take a couple of weeks for them to properly kick in to your system and around 4 weeks or more for you to get the full benefit. Stick with them, I know it's difficult when you can't see much affect but they do need time to work.

It was 6 to 8 weeks for things to settle down for me. At the beginning I had dreadful nausea and anxiety side effects (the two together were horrendous) but by the 6 - 8 week mark I felt miles better. I hope it does the trick for you xx

Hi thanks for replying yeah my anxiety has been through the roof on in 225mg now for three weeks so I'm hoping another few weeks everything will feel better xx
