It’s ok to take a step back. Genuine friends will understand. I often didn’t feel like seeing people when I was depressed. Thankfully my friends stayed ‘there’ for me and I recovered.

I am very worried about my 16year old grand-daughter who seems to be withdrawing into herself. She used to be very confident but now is very shy and withdrawn. I am not sure if something is going on at school. I know if I ask my daughter to involve the school she will think it not necessary but I have always been very close to this granddaughter and know something is wrong. Her schoolwork is also suffering although teachers say she is more than capable of passing GCSEs with flying volours
