Thanks in part to this forum, I’ve realised that it’s not normal to feel how I’ve been feeling on and off for 20 years. It’s been a real lightbulb moment to know that intrusive thoughts aren’t just me, it’s not all just me.

I’m not sure if I’m ready to see my GP but while I think about it, I wondered if anyone could recommend any useful resources - books, websites, apps, podcasts or whatever.

Thanks so much.

The best book I have found is called 'the dare response' I rarely have panic attacks now because of the techniques I have read about in the book. I believe he talks about intrusive thoughts in the book too, I'm not saying it's a magical cure but its worth checking out.
