I've had Emmetophobia for 15 years and it rules and ruins my life.
Anyone had success with Treatment.
I've tried CBT a few times but not found it helpful.
I contacted someone about hypnosis but wasn't convinced of their credentials and the cost was huge
desperate for help

Sorry you're struggling. I too have Emetophobia, I've had it since I was about 10.

I tried hypnosis, but couldn't relax enough, but it's meant to be good. I can recommend one in the north if that's any good.

I've not had CBT because I couldn't face facing my fears if that makes sense.

These days I just about cope most of the time now my children are grown up. I do avoid situations that would mean coping ... pub closing time etc, and I wash my hands a lot and avoid small children.

Sorry I haven't replied sooner. Did you manage to get an appointment with your gp?

It must be hard working with small children, I don't think I could.

I hope your gp can offer you some help Flowers
