Is a revenge affair a cure for depression?

I just wondered what people's thoughts were about 'revenge affairs'. Has anyone had one? do they make you feel better?

Haven't had one but honestly the guilt and self loathing afterwards would probably make you even more depressed. If you can't get over it you have to leave the relationship not get revenge.

i would think it is a recipe for disaster

if you are depressed, counselling & medication would be helpful

if you want revenge, the best revenge, is to get well, and leave a relationship with grace, dignity and your head held high.

not had one, so maybe not equipped to comment, but i have suffered from depression
