Hello lovely Mumsnet people. I'm looking for some ideas. I have a 7 week old DS, while I was in to have him I met another woman, our little ones were born 2 hours apart.
We've both been having a bit of a rough time of it with PND, I'm headed over to see her soon and I wanted to take some little things to help her/cheer her up. She has another DS who's 2 and I have absolutely no idea what I could for him. DS is my first and I don't know a lot of toddlers. I don't have a huge amount of spare time or money because if DS but I want to do what I can. Does anyone have any suggestions of things that would actually be nice?

Most little boys of that age like cars, trains etc - something that he can run around the carpet would be nice' - only something small and not expensive. I know you didn't ask but be prepared for the 2 year old to want his mum's attention

Kids that age like things they can hold in their hands and walk around with. I would pop into charity shop and pick up a smallish car/ figure and maybe some books x

Great suggestions, thanks guys, I've got a wee treat to take over for us that can either be had while I'm there or kept for later. My DS loves sleeping in his sling so I have hands free for helping with what I can. Charity shop is a great shout, we have a couple of good ones so I'll pop in and see what I can find.
