I'm just over 7 weeks pp with my dd. It's my 3rd baby and I've had pn depression after all of them to varying degrees so I should no better but I feel so lost. Ivd been on antidepressants for 6 weeks...felt initially a bit better after a couple of weeks but the last few weeks have been so tough. Can anyone give me any positive stories about getting through this and how you get there as right now it feels impossibly bleak. I cant see how to get through. I'm currently having my first pp period (tmi) so not sure if that isn't helping but thought I'd be feeling better by now or at least some way there.

You're not alone I've had pnd after each of my 3 babies, the youngest 16 months. With my previous 2 I felt better when they were both around 18 months for some reason. Probably because I made myself exercise more around that time. Hang in there it does get easier and please take time for yourself exercise if you can or just have some time doing whatever makes you happy. Time to yourself away from the huge responsibility of 3 children I've found is a necessity not a luxury.

I had a depression after DS a mixed episode after DD1 and a depression after DD2 for me it got worse every child I had (I’m bipolar 1 with schizophrenia) but it did get better about 18months old with each child hopefully you will feel better soon.
