Hearing other people's voices when I speak

I'm having a problem with literally hearing another person's voice speaking when I speak.

For example I was at work today with a patient, I spoke to her & I could hear my voice as if it was my friend Claire's voice.
This type of thing has happened before but only a few times at home when I'm tired.
I can't have this happen when I'm at work too as it makes me not want to talk & as an HCA my job involves talking!

My diagnosis is schizoaffective disorder & I also have epilepsy- I'm on a medication with hallucinations as a side effect plus reducing another epilepsy medication.
My psychiatrist is aware of all this & doesn't want to increase my anti psychotic until I've stopped changing epilepsy meds.

Should I phone the crisis team? I'm due back to work on Boxing Day.

Yes phone them

I would call them. They will talk through your symptoms with you on the phone and can change your medication if necessary. Sorry you are not feeling well.
