How to cope with relative with MH

I have sadly lessened contact with dm due to a lot of conflict but I feel it is her mental health that has led to her becoming bitter and angry (verbally rude and aggressive at times) threatening suicide and harm. I really struggle myself to stay positive.

I want to be a better person and not take all the criticism and try and see things from her point of view. Any help gratefully received Flowers

It may be that she has Borderline Personality Disorder. It is unbelievable hard to have a Mum who treats you like that - I know only too well! You can feel a bit sorry for her that she has MH problems, but at the same time you need support for yourself. Is there any counselling you can access for yourself - either through your GP or some employers offer telephone counselling for free.
