Weekly Prescriptions and holidays

I want to go abroad with my daughter during the Christmas holidays. She is currently on weekly prescriptions. How can I get enough medication to cover the 12 days we will be out of the country?

You would be best discussing this with whoever (psychiatrist?) instigated the weekly scripts.

If you were not travelling abroad the GP could issue a post dated prescription.

I get printed post dated copies when I travel. You should be able to do the same :)

My GP just gives me enough for my holiday, but it's not MH related Meds so maybe different.

It depends what it is and your circumstances. Most likely you will just be given a one off prescription for enough to last you. I wouldn't because the one I take is lethal in overdose and I'm a known suicide risk but if you aren't then I'd imagine there won't be any problems.

I have gotten prescriptions before hand many times. No problem because I don't take overdoses.
