Has any mums ever had depression during pregnancy? What happens? I am feeling guilty for feeling this way and don’t want anyone to think I can’t cope with having this baby. In such a confusing place..

You can't help how you feel, Jade. You're also not alone, though I didn't have depression during pregnancy (did before and have since), I have known a few woman who have. It wasn't their fault as it isn't yours.

It may not last too long, please try to treat it as you would at any other time but avoid medication. Ask your partner and any other person to whom you are close, to please treat you gently right now.

When you next go for a check up, mention your depression and the medics will probably be able to suggest ways of dealing with it because they'll have seen other pregnant women in the same boat.

You'll get through this, Jade. Look after yourself.
