Hi I've been on sertraline for the past thread weeks currently on 150mg and I have been on 200mg before I was on for three years then stopped. Will it work this time around this anxiety is crippling and affecting every aspect of my life at the minute x

I've been on sertraline 150mg since July and it's literally changed my life. I was off work and frequently in hospital because of my mental health for the months running up to it. Within a couple of months of taking it my anxiety was under control and I was able to get back to work and do things that were impossible before it. I could barely leave the house and now I hardly even think about it. I'm so much happier now I'm on it and I have so much more control over things.

Good luck, I hope you feel better soon

Hi mousecat that's good to hear. I had a few good days then I upped from 150mg to 200mg and anxiety crept back up but not as bad as the very start it's just hard to remember what feeling normal is. My concentration is very bad at the minute which isn't good coming up to Christmas. This morning I'm not too bad hoping that won't change. How long until the meds worked on your anxiety? I'm back on sertraline 5weeks after stopping for two months

I wish you all the best on it but it will get worse before better as this is a side effect you really have to stick at it though and see how it works for you I am on it for pnd and gad and a few weeks ago I was in tears couldn't eat didn't wanna get out of bed but at the same time couldn't sleep I could not see a way out these tablets saved my life before and I'm hoping they do the same again anxiety is the most awful thing I would not wish it on anyone x
