CBT or hypnotherapy

A few years ago I was having an utterly shit time with DDs dad (my ex) and needed CBT as well as my citalopram to cope. It was helpful but 3 years on and post citalopram I'm slipping back. My main symptom is retching in morning until I'm sick (afterwards I'm fine) and having worsening aversions to things that also make me retch til I'm sick- simple day to day things like brushing my teeth/ picking up after the family dog etc...

As I've done CBT a friend recommended hypnotherapy. I contacted two and one is a dual specialist. I wondered from those of you who have done both, which did you find helped and was it long term?
