Today I got a call from school to say DD was ill and could I pick her up. They told me she had a bit of a temp and was upset.

I went to tell my boss I had to leave, my company are great when it comes to childcare etc so I knew it wouldn't be a problem but when telling my boss I went to pieces and got really upset.

Everytime I get a call to say one of my DC are ill I'm the same, I panic and just want to get to them but can't seem to control how I am reacting.

It's embarrassing! I've only been like this since I had PND with my second.

I don't know what I can do about it, can anybody give me any pointers?

Are you close to getting your period or have you just had it? Hormones could be circulating!
In all honesty, I became much more emotional after having children and think subconsciously we realise that the responsibility comes down to us. Sometimes caring for children is overwhelming and we are allowed to get a bit tearful.
If you"r bursting into tears at random stuff, then you might have a problem, but family related illness is a genuine worry and it is normal.
