Struggling. Child with eating disorder

I’m just really struggling. I’m a single parent to 3 children. Eldest is just 17. She has an eating disorder and we attend weekly clinics. This week she’s lost 600g, I don’t get how but she has.
I’m so stressed and exhausted. I work nearly full time. I just don’t know what to do

What support is provided at the weekly service? Does she have 1-2-1 counselling?

It's excellent you're in such a service as it's few and far between..

We were going somewhere 30 miles away but now have someone who is close by. Today was the first proper appointment. She went in on her own for 20 minutes and then I got called in and was told she’d lost 600g. Then she talks about eating 3 meals and 3 snacks a day. Last week we started with lunch (which she hadn’t been taking) and a snack and I thought that was working but today found out she’s lost weight. X

Just telling her you care and love her and will get through it together.
Rather than focusing on what went wrong last week, focus on the fresh week ahead - what she wants to achieve/possilble blocks, what she plans to do to achieve her eating goals, and agree a mid-week check-in point.

@HedgeHogFoxBadger....I am in your position too - bloody awful! Dd1 (16) was diagnosed with anorexia (caught before it totally spiralled luckily) last Christmas. Since then we have had a year of FBT and one to one sessions. The weeks where she lost weight were so frustrating, especially when you thought she would have gained. She is now nearly weight- restored but has intrusive thoughts which cause her a lot of anxiety which manifests in outbursts of aggression towards me. It has really taken its toll on my mental health. I work full time and am perimenopausal and just broke down at the docs a couple of weeks ago. I was prescribed sertraline to help with anxiety and it has started to work in that I’ve not been feeling as down or anxious and now feel a bit stronger. I had tried exercise, diet etc. I would encourage you to get support from your GP if you are struggling. It doesn’t mean you’ll have to take meds but just opening up and saying how you feel helps too. Your GP might be able to advise on support groups. Hang in there! It’s bloody awful but I feel hopeful that she’ll get better.
