So fucked off with anxiety

I’ve had it all my life off and on (mainly on) .

As l get older it seems to be switched to ‘on’ much more. Anything seems to set it off. Brexit, sleep, work,dc being ill- just anything.

If I’m on my own it gets worse. I never used to be like this. I try and avoid being in my own, which isn’t very healthy l guess.

I’ve seen and tried it all. A million different anti depressants, several rounds of cbt none of which worked, mindfulness, you name it.

And now I’m worn out with carrying the burden of it all the time. I just want to not have it, but l can’t get rid of it. It’s so exhausting.,,,

You poor thing - are you on medication now or getting any treatment?

Have you tried pregabalin? I found it very good against anxiety.

I tried Pregabalin, it just made me eat my head off. It also stole my memory totally. I’m a teacher, so l couldn’t work line that. I do remember feeling calmer on it ghougj

you're not alone I'm exactly the same, so much so that I find life a real endurance test and do not enjoy life at all. I've tried different meds and had a course of CBT which i found no help at all. I can feel my anxiety rising at the moment due to Christmas being on its way and all the pressures that brings. I sometimes wish I could run away and live a primitive life in the woods somewhere away from all the pressures of the modern life.

That desire to run away really resonates😞
