Just wondered if anyone has any positive stories of Mirtazapine 15mg working for anxiety? I’m a week in and feel better but anxiety is definitely still there!

Yes it worked well for me but I had to go up to 45mg, the max dose. Like most people I put on weight, but the positive effect on my sleeping was a big bonus. I’m now on 30mg as a maintenance dose.

I've been on Mirtazapine 15mg for just under a year now - so much better than when I was on Sertraline for my anxiety. I generally feel pretty stable 90% of the time and don't feel completely apathetic. I take it in the evening and it helps me get to sleep faster.

Ok, great. Did you find that you had up and down days the first couple of weeks? I’d been doing well sleeping then felt anxious all day yesterday about bedtime and really struggled to sleep last night so now I’m thinking that they’re not working!!

Yeah for the first couple of weeks I was waking up in the night/early morning feeling nauseous (which then tends to elevate my anxiety because i'm scared of being sick) - maybe your body just needs a little while to adjust to it :)
