Sertraline - Too much, too long?

Three years ago I pretty much hit rock bottom and started on mirtazapine, after a year I decided I no longer needed to be on them and started to reduce my dose.

However I then crashed, and was started on sertraline and have been taking 200mg for just under the last two years. There was talk last year about me maybe coming off this spring / summer but my life continues to be difficult. However I am angry, agitated and overwhelmed again, is this because I have been on the sertraline too long and/ or too high a dose? I am going to ring the GP in the morning but just want stuff sorted in my head a bit.

Thank you.

I have had this with citalopram. It doesn't seem to be working for me anymore so I'm actually being put on sertreline. So they may just try something else. It's no fun is it Sad

Thanks for the replies, I am going to ring in the morning - the GP does a call back system so I will get to speak to someone, and we can take it from there. I don't feel right, and having intrusive thoughts again.

Poor you. I had horrific intrusive thoughts when I was pregnant. I tried CBT which didn't helped abit at the time, but not done much for me in the long run. But may be worth a go if you haven't tried already? Xx
