A perinatal psychiatrist told me that if I get pregnant I should keep taking my Aripiprazole but she also said there's not much research to show the effects on the foetus & also the baby would need to be in hospital for up to 3 weeks after birth as it would be born addicted to the Aripiprazole.

Are you pregnant & taking Aripiprazole?
If so you should contact your CMHT or GP as soon as possible but do not stop taking it.
What do you take it for? I have schizoaffective disorder (bipolar type) & take 25mg. I get breakthrough psychotic symptoms still like visual hallucinations when I'm very tired or stressed.

@LilyJade hey hun
I'm not pregnant yet planning too.

I suffered from post natal psychosis a few years ago. Then was left with bi polar & anxiety, they prescribed aripirazole for life.

Probably best to get referral to a Peri Natal Psychiatrist if you're planning to get pregnant then? Hope everything goes well.
