Citalopram for 3 weeks - awful burning sensation

I’ve been on citalopram for 3 weeks - 2 days of 5mg, week of 10, just over a week of 15 and 3 days of 20. I get these awful waves of whole upper body burning sensations. They last about a minute and then go off. Any one else get these and do they go away? I was feeling a bit better today and hadn’t had any for a few days and then wham! So demoralising and makes me feel terrible again 😔

I get that burning sensation on escitalopram. Face, neck, chest and arms and sometimes legs. Been getting it for 5 months. It got worse when my dose was increased. Still got it.

Yours could be anxiety, not the meds? My burning lasts ages, sometimes nearly wall day.

Thanks for the positivity. I didn’t get it before I went on the meds so pretty sure it’s a side effects. If you’ve still got constant anxiety and burning all day sounds like you need to look at a different med - have you been back to the doctor?

My anxiety is better....just the side effects. I'm coming off the meds soon.
