I am having trouble finding therapists in my area who have vacancies. I have diagnosed gad and severe depression. I also attempted suicide in July. Most seem to have 8 to 12 week waiting lists.

Is there such a thing as private outpatient mental health daycare? I think I'd be alright in the evenings/weekends when dh is around. I worry I'm unable to keep myself safe during.the day when I'm alone.

Yes there is. I went to a clinic two days a week 9 till 4 however there were other patients who went every day for a short period. In my case I ended up as an inpatient anyway but the day care definitely worked for some people.

Sorry, also meant to say I'm sorry to hear you're feeling this way Flowers

Oh, and also you may be able to find a therapist/psychologist through a private mental health clinic once you're in the system, so to speak. Sorry for the multiple replies!

Don't say sorry. Could I ask how much it cost? My parents will be helping out with the cost.

Yes, it was £440 per full day. Alternatively you could do half days. The price included consultant's fees. Also at my clinic you got massively reduced fees for therapy/psychology appointments whilst attending as a day patient.

Where are you based? The priory in north London offer this, so does the nightingale in central London.
