Stopped anxiety meds & struggling

Hi, I’m 9 weeks pregnant with my first child and when I initially found out my GP told me to come of the medication I’d been on for anxiety (50mg sertraline). I did this and was fine for the first 2-3 weeks but now it’s back with a vengeance. I’m really struggling to cope so I went back to my GP and in a nutshell he said there’s no medication I can take that’s 100% safe for the baby. I’m trying everything I can - exercise, medication, self help books etc. And I’ve had counselling previously but nothing seems to be helping me and I have this constant feeling of dread and panic over nothing. I’m not worried about the baby, I have morning sickness, fatigue, sore breasts etc. So I’m sure he/she is cooking away just fine. I just feel horrible in my self and I’m gutted as I was really looking forward to pregnancy. Does anyone have any tips that worked for them or did anyone go on medication who was feeling the same during pregnancy? Hoping someone can help. Thank you. Hannah x

Hi, not sure but would double check dr advice, as I'm in a Facebook group for people taking sertraline and loads who take it whilst pregnant?

Zoloft sertraline support group and positive Zoloft support group. Loads of friendly people
