Im a worrier, couple of years ago i went on secondment for six months which just debilitated me ended up with cbt and a mentor at work to get me through.

Ive since had a baby (,early days were ropey but we came out the other side).

For a long time now ive been ok but over the last few weeks something has triggered my anxiety i can feel it snowballing every day. I keep trying to practice Cbt and im better when ds is around.

But wanted to ask what do you do when you get that horrible feeling in your stomach?

Breathing techniques - follow a tissue box around the edges. Breathe in on the long, hold on the short, breathe out on the long, hold on the short and repeat until you yawn.

I talk to mine. Acknowledge it is there, tell it you don’t need to be worried, you’ve got this and actually everything is fine. Repeat until the good thoughts dilute the bad.
