Jaw Clenching/neck pain - Anxiety?

I have had a tough couple of years loosing alot of family members, especially my Mum who battled cancer for two years.
After Mum died it all hit me and I became very down. I started on Sertraline 50mg, back in April, I was doing ok until the last couple of weeks. My neck and shoulders are so tense, I have a constant headache and am clenching my jaw, especially in my sleep.
Is this anxiety again? Any tips how to help? I really dont know what Im anxious about!

It would be good to go back to the GP and discuss further. I too keep a lot of stress in my shoulders and jaw.
You may need a trip to the dentist to have a mouth guard fitted. I used to wear one for a bit.

It helped a lot.

Meanwhile, look at ways to de stress a bit more. Therapy, counselling, yoga, meditation etc. Whatever works for you!

I got neck pain and jaw clenching on escitalopram. It eased but came back when the doctor increased my dose. The jaw clenching won't go away for me.

I suffer from anxiety have done for many many years 30+
Never had jaw teeth aching previously until about maybe 18/24 mths ago, and I’ve been climbing the walls previous years ago

I can’t understand why now, only thing I’ve upped is venlafaxine
So thinking it’s that, that’s done it for me.
My teeth used to ache something bad.
Dentist said I’m grinding teeth!
But never mentioned he could tell by teeth??
Anyway I got mouth guard, not cheap £100 +
I don’t get the teeth aching now, but still jaw ache and neck and headache over eye

I just had cranial osteopathy, she said my necks tight:knots
Feels light it’s compressed down
She told me to walk tall, neck straight

I sympathise with you
