How can I feel so lonely when I'm always with my lo

It's been a rough few months outside of parenting so I think that hasn't helped my mood but seriously, how can I feel this lonely and sad when I'm with the most lovely little girl in the world?
I spend my days clock watching, wanting to cry and being with my daughter. But why? Why can't I just be happy?

I'm sorry things are so tough for you.

I've honestly felt similar before. Be kind to yourself and try to take it one day at a time. Do you have any outside family support? Have you told your partner how you feel?

Children are a delight but they are no substitute for adult company. I hope you can find a group to join locally, and meet some friends. Flowers

Being with a small child can feel lonely because, although you're with someone, that person can't interact with you in an adult way. You can't have a proper conversation with them or expect them to empathise with your feelings.

Do you manage to get out and about much? I found it helped to go to baby groups and chat to the other parents.
