Can't bear people talking

Does anyone else experience this? I have GAD and over the last few months, I've found it harder and harder to listen to people talking, especially my children and husband. The voices echo in my head and I have to get somewhere quiet.
It's the same if my ds is watching YouTube or dd watching rubbishy Disney channel programmes.
Things like being on a bus are fine as I can lose myself in daydreaming.

Is this odd? Do you think I can do anything about it?

I know exactly what you mean OP, not sure what the answer is as it must be a stress reaction xx

Have you had any therapy? It sounds like you are detaching from the world and you might want to look into why you are reacting like this to those around you, if you would like to change it that is.

Depersonalisation and/or derealisation

I had same when my anxiety was bad. It got better once my antidepressants kicked in.

They give you mild doses of anti-psychotics for this usually, Or antidepressants. It stops it.
