Is anyone on 75mg Sertraline?

I've been on 50mg for 4 months now. I was prescribed it for physical symptoms of anxiety that I'd had for years and as a result I had a low mood at times. My mood has definitely improved a lot. The anxiety seems to be slower - Eg. If my anxiety before was at its worst at a score of 10, I'd say it's now about 6. I'm wondering should I ask the doc to go on 75mg, really don't want to take 100?

I’m glad it is helping you.

75mg instead of 100mg sounds sensible as a next step.

Maybe your doctor could prescribe a packet of 50mg and a packet of 25mg so you could take one of each, every day?

If you feel it would help there's no harm asking, you can always reduce again. I was on 150mg for 2years, just reduced to 100mg per day.

I don't think the side effects were as bad increasing rather than starting from nothing.

I was on 50mg for PND but have recently increased that to 100mg. The side effects seemed to have gotten better for me since the increase.
Is it the possible side effects with an increased dose that is putting you off going up to 100mg?

I take 75 mg & also 1.25 mg olanzapine. 100 mg gives me a headache, racing heart & tremors. The olanzapine has a boosting effect on the sertraline. I see a psychiatrist for my meds as o am very sensitive to side effects and have tried so many meds. Sertraline has been the best one for me.

I don't think they do 25mg sertraline. Think 50 is the minimum.

You just cut one 50mg tablet in 1/2 & take 1 1/2 tablets = 75mg. That’s what I do.
