I'm under a huge amount of stress at the moment at work (I work full time).

Also am the mum of a toddler, DH works full time, no family nearby. I've been through performance management this year and had a bout of depression.

Some days I just want to stay in bed.

What are your best tips to deal with everything? I'm hoping I can get a new job (am actively applying and waiting to hear on an interview).

The biggest stress points are everything while at work, managing the house, and looking after finances. DH is great but we are permanent spinning plates.

Hi. I also get stressed and overwhelmed too. Both DH and I work full time and have 3 small DC. Life is too hectic tho. Work is very stressful as is home life. It is like an endless battle to keep on top of the simple day to day things.

However, the little things that I find help me is to get out in the fresh air even only for 20 mins brisk walk it's amazing how it clears my head. But I have to make myself go because there is always some job to do but I now tell myself that the job will still be there in 20-30 mins. I am now trying to follow the organized mum method to help with feeling so overwhelmed with home life, however, I am in annual leave at the mo and the real test will be when I am back to work.

I have just left a job which has made me depressed and feel loads better in my new job, so keep persevering with the job hunting. As Happytot says exercise is good too, I try to walk the dogs a couple of times a day. I have 4 teenagers and it's a constant juggle to keep on top of everything. I feel like life has been incredibly stressful for the past 20 years with no let up and recently everything has just caught up with me and felt overwhelming.
