My DHs mother has schizophrenia and bipolar, we also suspect his sibling has schizophrenia exacerbated by drug use. I found out yesterday that his Grandmother also had schizophrenia. We have a DC am I am now panicking that it may have been passed on to them. I know only time will tell but I was wondering if anybody had advice or reassurance or something. Anybody?

Nothing I can say other than it's normal to have worries but it's not inevitable. My DB has schizophrenia and it worried me greatly in my 20s - I ended up asking a doctor and he told me it wasn't inevitable so that reassured me a lot. Why did he get it and not me? I ask myself that a lot. It's not a solely genetic thing, there are environmental factors at play too. I think poor nutrition and recreational drug use were part of it. There is some link between low vitamin D and schizophrenia. Sorry hope that helps.
