Starting sertraline - advice!

My GP wrote me a prescription for sertraline today and I'm slightly nervous about starting because I've read that it can make you feel worse to begin with, and I'm on my own with a young baby until DP is back from work on Friday. I'm wondering if it's a good idea to wait until he's back, or if I should just bite the bullet and start taking them!

I guess what I was wondering was, does anyone have any experience with this, and how much worse did you feel with them at the start - if at all?

Thanks in advance :)

I felt pretty grotty for the first 48 hours and my DH had to do most things around the house - my children are teens and I definitely wouldn’t have managed with a small baby. Having said that, some people sail through with no side effects or just minor ones. I think in your shoes I would wait until Friday as it’s only a couple of days.

If you have no other support, wait until Friday.
