How do I find a therapist? (North London)

As the title says - I have been to my GP this morning about extreme anxiety/insomnia and as well as prescribing some medication, she gave me the name of a therapist who I called but has retired. Short of just picking someone off the internet, I don't really know how best to proceed, so please do recommend if you know someone. Feel free to DM me if easier. Thanks so much.

Hi OP, try the BACP who have a directory of qualified counsellors you can search by area here.

Or babcp which has CBt therapists (a specific type of therapy focusing on the current problem)

Or british psychological society for psychologists

Or google but check they're accredited with either bacp, babcp or hcpc
