I've just been put under home treatment

Just that really.

I seriously considered crashing my car yesterday and so went to the GP, who sent me to A&E who sent me home

Have had a visit from home treatment and a phone call from a social worker at children's services.

I have noone else to tell, so thought posting here might help. Maybe for a handhold?

Flowers What’s going on?
bananapuddles · 06/08/2019 12:42

I've haven't been feeling well for a while and it all just came to a head yesterday. I had an opportunity on my own without the children. Instead I went to the GP.

Feel like I've made such a big mess of everything and should have just carried on as I was.

lovely, home treatment teams can be great. You did the right thing to get help.

NoBaggyPants · 06/08/2019 12:48

Have they said what the plan is? Are you already on any medication or is this your first experience around poor mental health?

Well done on asking for help. That's a really positive first step.

cakeandchampagne · 06/08/2019 12:50

I’m glad you chose to try to get some help.
Your children love you & they need you.

Whatever the “big mess” is, it can be sorted.

healthanxiety1 · 06/08/2019 12:53

What did the home treatment team say? You've done the right thing going to the dr and getting help.

What's caused you to feel like this? A build up of day to day stresses or is there something serious happening in your life? How old are your DC?

It will feel like you're in a terrible place just now but you've taken the first step to getting yourself better. ThanksThanksThanks

bananapuddles · 06/08/2019 13:10

Thank you all. Nothing in particular to cause it, but life doesn't feel worth living or being a part of.

First time being involved with any of these teams. DC are 4 and 2.

That was so brave to get help, well done Flowers

Things will get better, this is a shit time ATM but it won't always be.

It's great you have outside help.

x

NoBaggyPants · 06/08/2019 13:18

Home resolution teams tend to offer short term help, but they should make sure there's support for you longer term as well. Keep talking to them, but don't be afraid to speak up if you feel that you're not getting enough help.

MichaelMumsnet · 06/08/2019 13:53

Hello OP, we are really sorry to hear you are feeling this way.
We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources. You can also go to the Samaritans website or email them on [email protected].

Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek real life help and support as well.

We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.

Take care of yourself OP Flowers

LoafofSellotape · 06/08/2019 13:57

I think that's really unnecessary to post that MichaelMumsnet The OP asked for a handhold nothing more.

bananapuddles · 06/08/2019 14:04

Thanks MichaelMumsnet, it's possible if you'd read my thread you'd have seen that I have sought external support Hmm

Thank you to all the rest of you who have commented, I have found it reassuring and helpful Flowers

@bananapuddles How are you doing? Flowers

Jinglebin1 · 12/08/2019 11:03

Be totally honest with yourself and the HTT. I had them after I came out of hospital when I was under voluntary section (also nearly crashed my car on purpose too). I hope today is a better day x
