Hi
I've recently been diagnosed with the above to help with dizziness, looking at the instructions it seems as though it's used to treat anxiety too. I usually take 5mg when I feel dizzy, one every couple of days.
I have Ménière's disease.
I took two yesterday and now feel bloody awful. Don't know if I'm overthinking but googled it and apparently it can cause anxiety as well as cure it?
Has anyone used this medication for anxiety and did it help?
Thanks in advance! Xx

Hi OP,

That's the main active ingredient in the over the counter medication for migraine called 'Buccastem'. I've read that in larger doses it can cause severe panic symptoms but I've no personal experience of it.

Taken it for years for labrynthitis on and off. Never affects me, but you may be unlucky.

It's used in large doses as an antipsychotic.

I normally just take one a day but due to travelling I took four over two days, haven't had the issues before. Felt really panicky and couldn't sleep the second night and it scared me to be honest. Haven't taken them for a few days now so hopefully any build up is our of my system x

The anxiety type symptoms settle usually after 4-6 weeks :)
