Coming off Sertraline

I've been on Sertraline 100mg for over a year and want to come off them. My doctor has suggested reducing the dose for 4 week then stopping them.

I'm now on the reduced dose and feel really odd and spaced out. I also think I'm developing tinnitus. I'd this normal? I'm hoping the tinnitus is temporary

Hi @mollpop just saw that nobody had responded. These symptoms are common.

For most people they do settle. I had created a separate thread as my daughter is currently coming off setraline.

Please take a lot longer than 4 weeks - that is way too fast. Doctors always say much faster than this. Some sites that are out there suggest tapering at 5-10% every 2 to 4 weeks.

You can read our experiences on the other thread.
