citalopram

im on 30mg citalopram and dr gave me 2mg of diazepam to help wit side effets should i really be so so tired

You poor thing. I was only on 10mg of Citalopram but needed to up them.

My GP offered me Escitalopram instead...purely for the reason you are describing.

Apparently Escitalopram is exactly the same just you only need a smaller dose...so my 10mg of Escitalopram is like 20mg of Citalopram and doesn't cause the side effects.

May be worth talking to your doctor about it? Smile

thankyou if this dosent work i will do that at moment in evening i always feel lot better think its beause i dont need to do anything my dr also prescribe me melatonin to help me sleep although its not sleepng tablet it works but cant understand why it makes you feel so groggy

I was also on 10mg ecitalopram, after about 2 weeks I felt a lot better and a lot more positive

If you don’t mind me asking what side effects needed the diazepam? I took diazepam for three weeks a couple of years ago for muscle spasms - and I spent most the time wanting to sleep and doing no work. I also felt blissfully unbothered about that and everything else so might be the diazepam affecting you!

its 2mg diazepam i know i thought it might be making me worse it does cause drowsiness but i only take it twice thinking so yu could be right . but im no spring chicken im 75 with cealiac thanks for replying
