Seroquel for teenager

Anybody know this seroquel? My teenager got it subscribed today, and it does not sound good..

I worked for a company which manufactured Seroquel but I am not clinical staff so only know the marketing material / trainings.
Does your daughter have a diagnosis? Are you worried about your daughter condition or possible side effects?

Its my son. He got it for depression and sucidal thoughts. But side effect IS suicidal thoughts!!
He has been on it for a few days now, low dose, seem ok. I watch him like a hawk..

I take 400mg of Serroquel for Bipolar disorder and thankfully no major bad side effects. What is your teen taking it for OP?

Depression, anxiety and sucidal thoughts. He is on 50 mg a day, just starting.

So far so good, i actually think he is more cooperative theese days, so it might turn out to be good for him..

It wouldn't have been prescribed without serious consideration, keep an eye on him, side effects settle after 4-6 weeks usually but it's not for everyone. It's pretty rare to have a serious reaction.
