the affects of a narcissistic parent

i have a family member who has a son who is aggressive and violent. he shows a lack of empathy and has assaulted (threatened to kill ) destroyed property for the past 6 months and is subsequently just medicated and left alone as the police and social services were at a loss of what to do with him.

but it's him that i worry about, his mother is a textbook narcissist and they only live together. she lies and cheats her way through everything and has a very convincing put together life in which she's got social services thinking she's mother of the year but i know that they assault each other daily, barely talk, he's allowed to do anything and has little to no attention on him unless in public. have previously reported to social services but even though all has been quiet for a little while (doesnt want money) i'm worried one of them is going to be hurt. does anybody have any advice or experience?
