Just wondering if anyone has any advice/ experiences to share on just stopping sertraline 50mg?

Been on it 4 year, for mild anxiety only.

Recently felt that I don't want to be dependent on it anymore & feeling much stronger emotionally & want to try to manage without it.

I had my last dose of 50mg 2 days ago & although I feel a little light headed today just wondering if that will pass etc & if anybody else has any experiences to share regarding just quitting it cold turkey.

I am aware my dosage was a low dose so I'm hoping for just mild side effects that will wear off in the next week or so ?

Anybody else just quit taking the 50mg?

Thanks x

The advice is that you must lower the dose in steps. You will have a very bad time if you don't. I think you would feel the impact badly and quickly. Follow your doctor's advice.
