I've been on citalopram for several years and recently tapered off and eventually came off them around 3-4 weeks ago. I was only on 10mg. I was fine in the first weeks afterwards, but this past week has been hell; low mood, blinding headaches, irritability, difficulty sleeping and more.
Why should these symptoms suddenly start after I'd been ok to begin with? I was on such a miniscule dose when I finally stopped, I'd have thought the drug would have been well out of my system by now.
Has anyone had any experience with this, with citalopram or a similar AD?
