Health anxiety

Hi
So I've had a chest infection for two weeks and it's slowly clearing but just left me now with the annoying tickle cough, and breathless.
Basically as a kid I had asthma but have been clear for 20 years. I'm now worried that the infection has triggered my asthma and it's sent my health anxiety into over drive. I've been to my gp who said my oxygen levels are good, and chest is clear with no wheezing.
Any advice? Or kind words welcome. Thankyou in advance.

Believe your GP. You have been examined and are better. The tickly cough will go. It's normal after a chest infection.

I think it's more the fact of getting out of breath still.
I'm tired of being tired now x

@Rosie92

It can take a long time to get back to normal after a chest infection. It can affect your energy levels for weeks, especially if you haven't had enough rest and fluids.
People used to go to bed when they had infections. These days we try to carry on and then are upset because recovery takes ages.
Be patient! It was an infection not a cold!
