bipolar, how many/what meds do you take?

I’ve bipolar 2 and currently take a mega dose of Quetiapine (2400mg), Agomelatine, Carbamazepine, prochlorperazine, and Lamotrgine.

It’s taken years to get to this point, with lots of experimentation with different combinations. I hate having to take so much, but I’m better now than a year ago (although I still have a relapse every 3-4 months) so I put up with it.

I’m interested in what others take and if they work well?

I take 200mg sertraline, 10mg aripiprazole and 100mg Lamotrigine. I also have zoplicone for if I’m hyper and can’t sleep. I have a dual diagnosis of BPD and so far this combination seems to be working for me.

800-1000mg lithium and sometimes (rarely) tiny dose of olanzapine (as tiny as 2.5mg).

DH has bipolar type 2, and takes 10mg olanzapine and 150mg venlafaxine. He seems to have lost the hypomanias he used to get, but not the depressions.

I have bipolar and bpd. I take 200mg sertraline and 20mg (I think) of aripiprazole. I also have a supply of valium that I use as and when I get hyper.

Thanks for the replies. I also have zopliclone and lorazepam as PRN. I get fed up having to continually manage the meds so I don’t run out.
