As anyone been offered this treatment or paid for it themselves?
It’s transcranial magnetic stimulation
It’s been used since 1985, using magnets to stimulate certain areas of the brain for positive therapeutic effects.
It’s only available in about 4 nhs hospitals on a trial if you haven’t had any luck with at least 2 antidepressants.
A small number of nhs hospital are preforming it but for private patients.
You have to go everyday for 4-6 weeks for about 30 mins ( so obviously have to be near a hospital providing it) and cost privately 3k for 20 sessions !
Anybody had it ?????
