I've been going cold turkey off duloxetine for a whole month now.
I took it for spinal pain and citalopram to get through my divorce.
I've never felt so ill in my life. I can't go off sick as I'm self employed so I crawl in every morning feeling like absolute death.
My head is buzzing, I feel so tired I can hardly stand or get through the day.
It's all physical symptoms not mental and today is particularly bad, I woke up seriously thinking about cancelling the whole days projects.
How long is this crap going to go on?

As far as I understand it can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a few months to readjust. Have you felt this bad the whole time? Are you worried about anything? Is it related to hormones?

I found exercise helped.

I don’t know about duloxetine but it took me about a year to come off citalopram.

Maybe go back to your GP & discuss having a phased withdrawal?

Luckily I've only been on citalopram for a couple of weeks but OMG I just don't want the torture of a prolongued phased withdrawal so I'm getting it over and done with.
It's been a month and today is the first day I feel even vaguely human so hopefully that's the worst of it.
I am never taking these damned drugs again. It's 5pm and I'm ready for bed, the thought of work tomorrow :-/
They do not warn you when they hand over the prescription - I can see why people stay on this stuff for life.
Doesn't help I'm moving to another county after years in the same house with a new job and divorce came through at xmas.
Next up co-codamol and tramadol which I take for back pain. I'm going to take 2 weeks holiday for that one and just go cold turkey at home.
I've had it with all these drugs and I don't think they are helping at all.
